July 13: Jeremiah 39:18 For I will surely deliver thee,and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in Me, saith the LORD. These are the words of assurance of deliverance from the LORD God Almighty through the Prophet Jeremiah to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian. Because of his faith in God, he saw the trust becoming a reality and was saved. “For I will surely deliver thee…” is faith in God. The Preacher writes; Behold the protecting power of trust in God. Oh, that we could live by faith in all things; then we would be delivered in all times of danger.
Jeremiah 17: 5 Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD. Verse 7: But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him.
