He writes: My thoughts trouble me. I am distraught. My heart is in anguish. Fear and trembling beset me. Horror has overwhelmed me. And he wants to run away to a place and rest. Augustine of Hippo writes: Our hearts are restless until we find rest in Thee. Are you feeling overwhelmed just now? Are you troubled and lost? Remember “he shall sustain thee.” The Scriptures are clear that we should cast All our burdens upon the Lord. Charles Spurgeon writes, “If we are righteous before Him, He will not allow our affliction to move us from our standing that He is our LORD.”
