July 19: Deuteronomy 33:25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.

Moses is 120 years old and his eyes are not weak nor his strength not gone. God provided 2 provisions to His people Israel as they journeyed through the desert: Shoes and Strength. God provides protection proportionate to the necessities of the road travelled and in the day of battle.

“As thy days be numbered, so shall thy strength be.” God’s grace is sufficient for EACH day…as thy days…not weeks, months or years. Charles Spurgeon writes: I do not believe a Christian can examine himself without finding everyday that WEAKNESS and TEMPTATION is not evident in everyday life. Weakness is proven even in the doing of his duty. In Temptation, there is always a back way into everyman’s heart.

Charles Spurgeon reminds us that to be steadfast in our love for God is more meaningful than all the pleasures in life. Spurgeon writes: ”And when thou shall see God face to face, though thy weakness were enough to make thee die, thou shall have the strength to bear the beautific vision: thou shall see Him face to face and thou shalt live.”

So be rid of doubts, be rid of your troubles, be rid of your fears.
