Let’s Talk 60 Seconds With Charles Spurgeon: Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. David was hiding from Abimelech. The most common current human emotion that has enveloped our hearts, mind and life now is FEAR. With the current Covid pandemic, we are conscious of the danger that the virus poses to all of us and so we constantly warned about this danger that can claim lives. A natural, powerful, primitive human emotion like fear can paralyze us but the Psalmist reminds us through his own plight from Abimelech that the LORD has promised to deliver us from evil. The angels are already encamped around us. Taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is he who takes refuge in Him. That is the assurance that if we call upon the Lord to deliver us, He is faithful even to the faithless to hear our cry and deliver us. The battle is of the Lord.
