July 17: Daniel 11:32 The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.Valiant for truth in the Day of Falsehood. The key to a victorious life over sin is to know our God. In John 17:3 Jesus says,” This is eternal life; that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”We are always looking for excitement in our lives, fire in our lives, living with purpose and trying to achieve the best life for us. The Preacher explains that only God and His character excites enthusiasm and makes us willing to live and die for him. Living our best life must first be a life that is approved by God.
Charles Spurgeon writes: He who comes forth fresh from beholding the FACE OF GOD will never fear the face of man. Those who stumble and fall, God will be there to refine our hearts, purify our lips, and made spotless until the time of the end. Spurgeon continues: Oh that we may know our God, His power, His faithfulness, His immutable love and so may we be ready to risk everything in His behalf.
Psalm 118: 17-18 I will not die but live and proclaim the works of the Lord. The LORD has chastened me severely but He has not given me over to death.
